When making this purchase he is going to get the 5.7L V-8 with the factory tow package.
According to dodge web site a 5 speed is only with the 5.7!!!!!
RE: What type and size of outside mat
We must be the exception.
We use a small 3 x 5 ft mat at the foot of the steps mainly for wiping the shoes.
We are finding that more and more of the places we like to camp, do not allow the use of the larger mats.
You are not the exception most CG where we go have the same policy about oversize mats, rugs or carpet!!!

RE: New 2009 F150 kicks the "competition" in the Tailgate!
All - new frame. Had to be done to bring F-250 features down and make room for a larger gas engine. What they did is elevate the truck to 3/4 ton capabilities that cannot be given until a the 6.2 L engine is added. Look for an increase of 500 - 800 lbs payload & 1500 - 2500 lbs additional towing for 2010.
How about the v10 & be done with it!!!!!!!!
